26th April 2022 • Joe Banks and Jeremiah BobyMyself and my co-founder Jeremiah find that one of the main problems with running a start-up in such an undeveloped area is lack of inspiration. As a result of this, we run frequent office socials with the Bingus team. Our last social took place last week where we got the guys together and threw on American Psycho.
Whilst this session was primarily intended to inspire new ideas for our development and product teams, Jeremiah and I had some thoughts on the film which we'd like to share publicly.
On the murders
We believe all murders depicted within the movie were real events and not hallucinations of Bateman. This theory is backed by Steven Spielberg when he says "it was real".
While Bateman is clearly a very based individual, he is also clearly highly disturbed, and with several of the murders throughout the film (particularly those of Al, the strippers, the model and others) are portrayed in a manner which makes them convincly real.
On Harold the Lawyer & Paul Allen
We believe that despite Harold Carnes claiming to have had lunch with Paul Allen in London, he in fact had lunch with someone else who he mistook for Paul Allen (an identity mistake which is in-keeping with the rest of the movie). We believe any other theory is complete fallacy.
On the trenchcoat
We believe that Bateman's trenchcoat is both real and true.
Conclusion
Jeremiah and I have pondered these conclusions for many hours now and believe we are the single source of truth for ongoings within American Psycho. Any further enquiries can be directed to me via email ([email protected]), I'm happy to answer any questions on American Psycho or the plot-line it depicts.

We'd like to thank ConnorMcF, Fenton and GUNTER
for their help in digesting the plotline, without their valued expertise we'd still be crying in the office at the thought of the ending to the movie.
